Session 1: Getting to Know One Another

This session focuses on helping children become comfortable in the group setting. Children share information about their family member's cancer, and learn about the purposes of the group. The issue of group confidentiality is addressed.

Two of the activities include a drawing activity and a writing activity designed to give facilitators insight into what the children are thinking or feeling but may be unable or unwilling to express verbally.
